Visit one of Siem Reap's oldest pagodas for a Buddhist session led by a monk, where you’ll learn about teachings and monastic life. At the end, you can participate in an optional water blessing ceremony that cleanses bad luck and brings harmony. This experience offers valuable insights into local healing practices and traditions.
After the ceremony, we’ll take a short 20-minute walk for reflection and discussion. This time allows you to think about the day’s experiences and share insights with your guide and fellow travelers. We’ll purchase offerings for the spirits and learn why these rituals are important. Participation is optional, allowing you to decide whether to join. Afterward, we’ll walk to a traditional music site, where the guide will explain its connection to the spirit world.
Enjoy dinner at Viking House, a vegetarian restaurant after visiting Ang Chek Ang Chorm. While vegetarianism isn’t common in Cambodia, you can find such restaurants in many cities. This restaurant is run by a vegetarian community that follows Mahayana Buddhism, primarily Cambodian-Chinese individuals.
