Overview

This tour offers a relaxing and insightful experience of Cambodian village life, Buddhism, and beautiful countryside views. We’ll start from Siem Reap in a tuk-tuk and travel to a local village, where you’ll get a glimpse of everyday life and meet a welcoming farmer family who will share snacks and stories with us.

Next, we’ll visit Wat Athvea, a serene pagoda where you’ll learn about monastic life and the significance of pagodas in Cambodian culture, followed by a tour of the pagoda grounds.

Finally, we’ll head to a scenic lotus farm to enjoy stunning sunset views. Here, you’ll savor snacks and drinks during a picnic-style dinner at a nearby restaurant. Join us for a memorable journey through the heart of Cambodia!

Stop one: Tuk Tuk ride to village house

Join us on a tuk-tuk ride through picturesque villages as we visit a local farmer family. They’ll welcome us with refreshing coconuts and homemade snacks. We’ll tour their gardens to learn about the plants they grow, then sit down to hear their captivating stories. Experience authentic rural life in this heartwarming visit, lasting about one hour.

Stop two: Pagoda

We’ll visit a nearby pagoda, an important place for worship and community gatherings. During our one-hour visit, our guide will lead a short tour, sharing insights about monastic life and why many young people in Cambodia become monks. We’ll also explore the pagoda’s role in cultural preservation, social support, and education, making this a meaningful experience.

Stop three: Phnom Krom Weaving Art

After visiting the pagoda, we’ll travel to Phnom Krom village to meet a family who weaves beautiful bags from water lilies. In their small shop, a mother and daughter create colorful, handcrafted bags. We’ll spend about 30 minutes observing their work, learning about the weaving process and materials, and hearing from our guide about how this family sustains their livelihood.

Stop four: Sunset at Lotus Farm

We’ll reflect our day at our favorite spot, a beautiful lotus farm, to watch the sunset. This stop will last about 20 minutes, allowing you to soak in the serene views as the sun sets over the Cambodian landscape. It’s the perfect way to digest a memorable day of exploration.

Stop Five: Picnic Dinner

We’ll wrap up our day with dinner at a local restaurant near the lotus farm, known for its stunning sunset views. Enjoy a family-style meal featuring delicious local dishes. This relaxed dining experience will last about one hour, allowing you to savor the flavors of Cambodia while taking in the beautiful surroundings.
